DETAILS
Join us as we enjoy the talent of solo pianist Peter Klimo at the Embassy of Hungary, capping off our Spring season of extraordinary events.
This signature-style event will feature works from Bartók, Schubert, and Liszt performed in one of the most elegant embassy spaces around DC. Valet parking, wine, socializing, and a Hungarian spread round out an intimate evening to remember.
Hungarian-American pianist Peter Klimo has been fortunate to take his performing talents around the world and is always looking to share his passion for music and the piano. Following his 2nd prize victory at the 2014 International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht, Peter embarked on several concert tours, notably throughout Holland, the US, and South Korea. Having participated in several other international competitions as well, Peter won 3rd prize at the 2019 Bartók World Piano Competition, 3rd prize at the 2019 Bösendorfer International Piano Competition, as well as special prizes at the 2017 Maj Lind and 2014 Wideman International Piano Competitions.
The recently renovated Embassy of Hungary, located between Dupont and Logan circles in the Brodhead-Bell-Morton Mansion on Rhode Island Avenue, NW offers a gorgeous space in a busy niche of DC.
